Thank you for expressing interest in an employment opportunity with the Newport Hotel Group. Once your completed application is received and reviewed, we will determine if your interests and qualifications match our current needs. If so, you will be contacted by our office. Otherwise, we will keep your application on file for one year and may consider you for similar positions in the future.

If not, employment is subject to verification that you are of minimum legal age and that you are able to supply any required work permit.

Education and Employment

Provide a complete and consecutive record of your verifiable employment, beginning with your most recent employer. You may include military service and any verifiable work performed on a volunteer basis, outlining any special skills or training acquired during your service. If you need more space, please use an additional sheet of paper. This section must be completed in full even if a resume is submitted.

I authorize the Hotel to make whatever inquiries it deems necessary to determine my suitability for employment and to verify the statements and information on this application, and the accuracy of other documentation that I have provided. I hereby authorize all personnel, schools, companies, prior or current employers, references, consumer credit bureaus, motor vehicle agencies and law enforcement or criminal history agencies and other persons and entities that have knowledge of me, or my records, to release or provide such information to the Hotel. I hereby release and discharge each of the above, including the Hotel, from all claims or liabilities of any kind or nature that may arise from the disclosure of such information. I also acknowledge that, from time to time, the hotel may be required to submit certain information with regard to my employment or application to various local, state, and federal government agencies. I hereby authorize the hotel to provide such information, and release the company, its’ agents, assigns and subsidiaries from any liability resulting from submitting such information.

I hereby certify that all of the statements and answers set forth on this application form are complete and true to the best of my knowledge. I understand that I may be disqualified from further consideration, or if I am hired, I will be subject to immediate dismissal if at any time the Hotel discovers any falsification, omission, or misrepresentation of fact in this application or any other documentation or statement made or provided by me during the selection process.

Moreover, I understand and acknowledge that all employees of the Hotel are employees at-will. If hired, I will be free to resign at any time. Likewise, I may be disciplined, laid-off, or dismissed at any time with or without any reason or notice. As part of this at-will policy, I understand that the Hotel expressly reserves its’ inherent authority to manage and control the business enterprise and to exercise its sole discretion to determine all issues pertaining to my employment, if hired, including all matters pertaining to promotion, job assignment, the size of the workforce, demotion, transfer and discipline. Neither this application, the Employee Handbook, any statements made to applicants or employees, or any other documents given to applicants or employees are intended to create, nor should such documents or statements be construed as creating, an expressed or implied contract of any kind, nor guaranteeing employment for any definite period of time.
